During the August, 2025 trip to the British Isles, for the remarkable Dereiko/Concannon Wedding, Margaret and I captured some pictures of doors. Why doors? An ancient door flanked by two gnarled yew trees at St. Edward’s Church in Stow-on-the-Wold, England, is widely rumored to be the inspiration for the Doors of Durin, the western gate of Moria in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
